Expanded Commentary Policy
All comments will be reviewed by the Web Log Administrator for appropriate content prior to being posted. There is a fine line in determining when comments are in poor taste and should not be published. To delete or not post truly objectionable commentary is easy because the content speaks for itself. Others comment’s are harder to make the decision on because they “thread the needle” on what is appropriate and what is objectionable.
Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but not when it’s used to hurt people, cast innuendo on their character or otherwise make them feel bad. There is a good chance the person who is “attacked” will not read the Blog and even know he-she has been publicly assailed and hence would not have the opportunity to refute the comment.

After review, the Blog Administrator has determined the two Anonymous Posts under this heading were not appropriate. Please read the "Editorial Rant" column on the bottom of the Blog.
I THINK THAT THIS TOPIC SHOULD BE REMOVED. IT APPEARS THAT THE BLOG ADMINISTRATOR DOES NOT LIKE ANYTHING THAT ANYONE POSTS ON THIS TOPIC. I SEE THAT TWO PRIOR POSTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. I POSTED A COMMENT THE OTHER DAY WHICH HAS YET TO APPEAR ON THIS SITE. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT I SAID ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE IN MY POST. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AND SEE WHAT THE NEWSPAPERS LET PEOPLE POST ON THEIR BLOGS. THIS BLOG ADMINISTRATOR SEEMS INTENT ON CENSORING WHAT PEOPLE SAY. THIS INFRINGES ON OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH. OK, So "Now's my chance: "If I were 1st Selectman I would...."
What would I do? First thing I would do would be to give Robert Boyd a raise. He is such a valuable asset to Preston residents, and he always goes above and beyond the scope of his job duties to help people out. Too bad there weren't more people out there like Bob, he works very hard, and is a well respected man. So, as 1st selectman, I would give him his due, and pay him what he is worth!
